Island Hopping

Island Hopping

[ ISLAND HOPPING ]

Located just a few miles off the northern shores of Orcas Island, are some of the most pristine islands in the San Juans. Owned by the Washington State Parks Service, they are uninhabited, and fully accessible to anyone who would like to explore them. Until recently, unless you had access to your own boat, it was very hard to get there. For years I have been driving boats around these islands and always thinking, I wish I could bring all my friends here and show them what beauty means to the northwest!

Then I saw this old boat, and with help from the local boat wright Rick Stevens, we made the old boat new again, and named it, Rock Hopper. Originally built in the NW, its shallow draft and bow ramp make it the perfect boat for transporting hikers, campers, and mountain bikers. The open bow is also nice for sight seeing, or a relaxing sunset cruise through the islands. There's even room for the occasional dog.
The idea is, you tell us what you want to do!!
Good times!!
